Here’s a list of the classes scheduled for March 2017. Please scroll down if you’d like to see the flyer containing details for a particular class. The fliers appear in the same order as the list.

Basic PMC (Precious Metal Clay)

Date: Saturday, March 25th, 2017 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with a quick lunch break

Location: PLG workshop, 169 Defense Highway (lower level in back), Annapolis, MD

Description: Learn how to create unique jewelry with Precious Metal Clay by molding and shaping this versatile material. Students will complete at least 3 or more silver projects (pendant earring set, molded pendant, earrings or charm and a hollow lentil bead) and learn kiln firing.

Fees: Class fee $90.00 member, $110.00 non-member, payable in cash or by check.

Material Fee: $79.00, which will include a 25 gram package of PMC3 and use of all needed supplies and tools. Please contact the instructor with any questions regarding materials.

Please note: material fees may fluctuate due to rising and lowering of silver costs at the time of ordering.

A minimum of 3 students is required for this class to run, and class size will be limited to 7 students.  Please sign up BEFORE March 14th so your materials can be ordered. Your place will be reserved when you contact the instructor and receive a reply. If you no show or cancel after this date you will still be obligated to purchase your materials

Cuttlebone Casting and Carving

Make Jewelry From your Scrap Metal or Casting Grain

Dates: Sunday March 26th, 2017 From 12:00 am to 5:00 pm
We will break for a quick snack.

Location: PLG workshop, 169 Defense Highway (lower level) Annapolis, MD.

Description:  This class is an excellent and fun way to use up the scrap metal you have from previous classes! Students melt their scrap and make a cuttlebone cast component that can be used in a similar manner as shown above. The images above are just samples, students will create their own jewelry design.

Class fee $75.00, $95.00 non-member, payable in cash or by check.

Materials Fee:

Option #1: $35.00 includes cuttlebones, 1 oz. sterling silver casting grain and sandpaper. Students provide gemstones or cabochons and materials needed to complete their project such as bezel, jump rings and sheet or wire.

Option #2: $8.00 includes cuttlebones. Students provide all materials, scrap silver (no copper or bronze), Students provide gemstones or cabochons and materials needed to complete their project such as bezel, jump rings and sheet or wire. Suitable casting material include silver scrap (not silver dust),  PMC silver scrap or pieces without enamel or stones you want to repurpose, and silver wire scrap.
